Love is Just For Fools!
Part 4: The Conclusion
....
After reading till here you might be wondering, Shivani, distinguishing between attachment and love is fine. But what about the whole “love is just for fools” thing?
Well, once I figured out the difference between love and attachment, one thing became crystal clear: love literally shuts down the logical part of your brain. You start doing weird things, behaving in the dumbest ways possible—and more. You don’t even need that person to love them; just the idea of them is enough. You begin to believe in things you once laughed at. You’re willing to wait a lifetime for them, even knowing deep down they’ll never be yours.
They become the only meaningful part of your life. Everything else? It starts to feel pointless and unworthy of your time.
And when love fully takes over your mind, you start acting like a fool—and no one can pull you out of that phase, not even the person you love. You worship them, no matter how they treat you. Love can completely change who you are. It throws you into extremes—love doesn’t do “in-between.” It will either turn you into the worst version of yourself or the kindest, purest soul imaginable.
Only you can truly understand what you feel for someone. Everyone else will slap labels on it. They might call you a fool, or say falling in love is the stupidest thing you can do. And maybe, in moments of doubt, you'll start believing that love really is just for fools.
But that’s not true. Love is for everyone—not just fools. It’s just that sometimes, it makes even the sanest of us look like fools.
So no, love isn’t just for fools—but it sure knows how to make one out of all of us.
This was the best read I have had in a few weeks. Was waiting for this to drop.
